The Wanderings of Aeneas

The Aeneid, was written by Vergil, from 29 B. C. to 19 B. C, whereupon he died before it was fully completed.  Although Vergil requested that the Aeneid be destroyed, it never was, and later became taught as a historical textbook rather than a mythological story.
